Paris, France 1482

Our story begins in the morning in the streets of the beautiful city of Paris and the citizens wake up to a beautiful day. While most of the citizens did their usual things, a man fished over a bridge and the baker packed some baguettes in his bread cart, and as the 'camera' goes through the streets to the beautiful gigantic cathedral known as Notre Dame, the city's largest and most renowned church, a man's voice began to sing;

Morning in Paris, the city awakes
To the bells of Notre Dame
The fisherman fishes, the bakerman bakes
To the bells of Notre Dame
To the big bells as loud as the thunder
To the little bells soft as a psalm
And some say the soul of the city is the toll of the bells
The bells of Notre Dame

Nearby Notre Dame, a group of children came over to a decorated wagon where a Gypsy was holding a puppet show. The Gypsy was a draconequus with the head of a pony and a body made of different animal parts including a lion paw and different wings and wearing a colorful jester's outfit, a purple hat, black gloves, a magenta mask, and a gold hoop earring on one of his ears; his name was Discord. He put his lion paw to his ear to listen to the bells tolling in the bell tower of Notre Dame. He said to the children, "Listen. They're beautiful, aren't they? So many colors of sound, so many changing moods. But you know, they don't ring all by themselves."

He brought out a puppet that looked just like him, and it asked in a high pitched voice, "They don't?" Discord replied, "No, you silly boy."

The children, consisting of a little girl with green eyes and red hair pulled back in a ponytail and wearing a yellow shirt and maroon overalls named Rosie, a purple baby dragon with green spikes named Spike, a young boy with blond hair and a red shirt and brown shorts named Cody, a boy with yellow skin and a torn blue vest named Nelson, and a mouse with a red sweater and a blue hat named Feivel, all looked at him with curiosity, wondering what he meant. He pulled the curtain at the window back and looked outside it. He said to the children as they all looked at Notre Dame as its bells tolled majestically, "Up there, high, high in the dark bell tower, lives the mysterious bell ringer. Who is this creature?"

"Who?" the puppet asked with a shrug.

"What is he?" Discord asked.

"What?" the puppet added as it scratched its head.

"How did he come to be there?"

"How?"

"Hush!" Discord frowned as he hit the puppet on the head with a stick. The puppet groaned and rubbed its head as the children laughed in amusement. The Gypsy said to the children, "Discord will tell you. It is a tale; a tale of a man, and a monster." The children listened to his story as the screen faded to black and we begin our story.

Twenty years ago on a cold winter's night, a group of Gypsies were sailing on the river on a small boat being rowed by Mr. Smee. They were a bunch of monsters consisting of a skeleton with a black suit and cloak named Jack Skellington, a man in a wheelchair with bill-like lips and wearing a lab coat and goggles named Dr. Finkelstein, and a ragdoll with long red hair and a dress of colorful rags named Sally. In her arms was a bundle with a crying baby.

Discord: Dark was the night when our tale was begun on the docks near Notre Dame

The baby cried louder, and Jack said to Sally, "Shut him up, will you?"

Dr. Finkelstein hissed, "We'll be spotted!"

Sally held her baby closer to her and said to it, "Hush, little one."

Discord: Four frightened Gypsies slid silently under the docks near Notre Dame

When they reached the land near the bridge, Jack helped Dr. Finkelstein out of the boat before helping Sally and his child out of it. Mr. Smee said to the Gypsies with his hand out, "Four guilders for safe passage into Paris."

Suddenly an arrow shot through his oar, and the Gypsies looked over to see a bunch of soldiers wielding bows and arrows next to the bridge, and another group of soldiers ran down the steps of the bridge and had the Gypsies cornered with their spears.

Discord: But a trap had been laid for the Gypsies, and they gazed up in fear and alarm... At a figure whose clutches were iron as much as the bells...

A man riding on a large black horse came out of the shadows, and the Gypsies looked over at him in fear, and Jack gasped in horror, "Lord Voldemort!"

Discord: The bells of Notre Dame!

The man had pale skin, a misshapen face and a bald head and wore a black cloak over him; this was none other than Lord Voldemort, the Minister of Justice and the Dark Lord. He ruled Paris with an iron fist, and he hated Gypsies, but worst of all he despised Muggle-born magical people he called "mudbloods", who the Gypsies all supported, magical or Muggle, because he considered them impure and a blight on the magical world.

Discord: Dark Lord Voldemort longed to purge the world of vice and sin

Jack held Sally protectively as she held onto their child with her life, but then the soldiers grabbed him and shackled him up along with Dr. Finkelstein and Mr. Smee. Voldemort watched with pride as his soldiers brought the locked-up Gypsies away, leaving Sally behind.

Discord: And he saw corruption everywhere, except within

Voldemort ordered his soldiers, "Bring these Gypsy mudblood followers to the Palace of Justice!" Sally was about to run with her chance, but then Hans, the remaining soldier, noticed the bundled up baby in Sally's arms and growled as he grabbed her shoulders, "You there! What are you hiding?"

She tried to run, but Hans grabbed her by her wrist and Voldemort glared, "Stolen goods, no doubt! Take them from her!"

As lightning flashed, Discord narrated, going along with his story, "She ran!"

Sally managed to escape from the soldiers and ran through the streets, holding her baby protectively with her life. Behind her, Voldemort was on his horse following her in hot pursuit. She made a sharp turn into the alley and Voldemort made his horse stop to a halt. He continued chasing after the ragdoll and he was getting closer to her, but Sally held her baby closer and ran as fast as her legs could take her. Voldemort hit a tavern sign away from him and continued chasing Sally, but then she came over to a fence and jumped over it, and she landed on some burlap sacks covered in snow below and kept running. Voldemort got cut off from her from the fence and he took a different route after her.

Sally made it to Notre Dame, and she ran up the steps to the door and she pleaded as she knocked on the door, "Sanctuary! Please give us sanctuary!"

She heard a horse whinny and turned around to see Voldemort coming towards her. She began running again, but then Voldemort closed in on her and grabbed her baby by the bundle. She gasped as she tried to get her child back, but then Voldemort took out his wand and shouted as he pointed it at the ragdoll Gypsy, "Avada Kedavra!" A bright light shot out of his wand and hit Sally, and she landed on the steps without a single movement. She was dead from the Killing Curse!

Voldemort stared at her dead body until the baby began crying again. Voldemort looked at the bundle and wondered, "A baby?" He unwrapped the front of the bundle and gasped in disgust, "A monster!"

He covered the bundle up again and looked around to find somewhere to get rid of the baby. He looked over and saw a well, and he rode his horse over to it and hung the baby over the freezing cold water, preparing to drown it.

"'Stop!' Cried the archdeacon." Discord narrated as he waved his hand and lightning flashed again, and a bearded old man in a cloak called to Voldemort to stop his unforgivable act. His name was Albus Dumbledore, the archdeacon of Notre Dame. Unlike Voldemort, Dumbledore cared about Muggle-born creatures and the Muggle population and he and Voldemort had been sworn enemies for many years.

Voldemort said to Dumbledore as he held the bundle over the well, "This is an unholy demon! I'm sending it back to Hell where it belongs." Dumbledore cradled Sally's dead body in his arms and sang with pity for the Gypsy;

Dumbledore: See there the innocent blood you have spilt on the steps of Notre Dame

Voldemort said with no pity for the Gypsy as he held the baby in his arms and went over to Dumbledore, "I am guiltless. She ran, I pursued."

Dumbledore: Now you would add this child's blood to your guilt on the steps of Notre Dame

"My conscience is clear!" Voldemort glared, showing no remorse or regret for what he did. That only made Dumbledore furious.

Dumbledore: You can lie to yourself and your minions... You can claim that you haven't a qualm... But you never can run from nor hide what you've done from the eyes... The very eyes of Notre Dame!

The old wizard pointed at the statues on the cathedral, and Voldemort looked at them. The statues looked like they were staring down at him with anger, and Voldemort looked at them with fear in his eyes that he would be punished by the Lord Almighty for committing murder on an innocent Gypsy mother and nearly killing her child.

Discord: And for one time in his life of power and control... Voldemort felt a twinge of fear for his immortal soul

"What must I do?" Voldemort asked, horrified at thinking of the consequences for his actions he committed in front of Notre Dame. Dumbledore turned to him as he held Sally's body in his arms and said to the Dark Lord, "Care for the child, and raise it as your own."

Voldemort said in disbelief and disgust, "What?! I'm to be saddled with this misshapen..." He looked down at the child and began having second thoughts. He said to Dumbledore, "Very well, but let him live with you in your church."

Dumbledore asked him, "Live here? Where?"

Voldemort replied, "Anywhere." He sang as he looked up at the cathedral's bell tower;

Voldemort: Just so he's kept locked away where no one else can see...

He added as he looked up at the cloudy sky as it snowed, "The bell tower, perhaps. And who knows, how Lord works in mysterious ways." He looked at the child and finished with an evil grin;

Voldemort: Even this foul creature may yet prove one day to be... Of use to me...

We go back to the present as Discord is finishing his story. He narrated as he covered himself with a magenta cape, "And Voldemort gave the child a cruel name, a name that means 'half-formed'; Cincomodo!"

He brought out a puppet version of Voldemort with a cruel glare and holding a bundle in its hands. He began to sing again as he showed a puppet show of Cincomodo growing up from childhood to his adolescent years and finally to adulthood when he began ringing the bells of Notre Dame since the day he learned how to ring them. The bell ringer rang the large bells as Discord finished his song;

Now here is a riddle to guess if you can
Sing the bells of Notre Dame
Who is the monster and who is the man?
Sing the bells, bells, bells, bells, bells, bells, bells, bells
Bells of Notre Dame!

What did you guys think of the beginning so far? After so much thinking and deciding, I've decided to try doing a parody of my favourite Disney movie of all time; the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

I thought of naming 5's role of Quasimodo "Cincomodo", since 'cinco' is Spanish for 5 and seems to fit in the name better, and I wanted to do a little twist on the part where Quasi's mother was murdered by Frollo with how Voldemort kills his victims.

Hunchback of Notre Dame belongs to Disney and Victor Hugo, the characters I used belong to their respective owners, and I own my character Alexis.
